Christian apologetics is the organized study of the Christian faith with the purpose of defending it against error, against its critics and exposing flaws in other world views.
Berean Bible Church of Hilo will host an apologetics conference taught by one of the foremost Christian apologists in the United States.
From March 4-7, James R. White of Alpha Omega Ministries in Phoenix, Ariz., will present a five-part series, “Defending the Christian Faith.” This conference is free of charge and open to the public.
The conference schedule is: Session 1: Sunday, March 4, 10:45 a.m.; Session 2: Sunday, March 4, 6 p.m.; Session 3: Monday, March 5, 6 p.m.; Session 4: Tuesday, March 6, 6 p.m.; Session 5: Wednesday, March 7, 6 p.m.
White is a college and seminary professor of Greek, systematic theology and apologetics, and he has written more than 20 books including “The God Who Justifies,” “The Forgotten Trinity,” and “The King James Only Controversy.” An accomplished debater and public speaker dedicated to proclaiming and defending the Gospel, White regularly preaches and teaches at Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church. He holds multiple graduate degrees, including a doctorate of ministry in apologetics from Columbia Evangelical Seminary.
He has been married to his wife, Kelli, for more than 28 years and has two children, Joshua and Summer.
